To ease the burden of the research phase, RENTCafé has created a new list of the most pet-friendly rental markets in the U.S.
The 2019 study analyzes and ranks the best places for animal-loving renters to call home, and takes a look at four main factors including the number of pet-friendly rentals per city, the average monthly rental cost per pet, the number of pets allowed, and additional pet associated charges (fees and deposits) to determine a score for each city. Here’s their ranked list of the most pet-friendly cities for renters.
Top 10 Best Cities for Renting with Pets
Florissant, MO, located in the Greater St. Louis area, received the highest overall score and took first place on the list with 91% of apartments in the city listed as pet-friendly. Florissant is the 13th-largest city in Missouri with a population of 51,443. There are seven dog-friendly restaurants, one dog-friendly hotel and a members-only dog park within the city limits according to BringFido.
